Alright, I got the fatal1ty headset and I'm having a problem with my MIC. The headphones are working perfectly. It's recognizing the headset but no sound is coming out when I speak, seems like it's on mute, on the headset the mic is set on "on."

are you trying to get the sound through the speakers?, you would need to enable the stereo mix for that, right click the recording devices menu, and select show disabled devices, right click stereo mix and enable:

This should give you mic output through speakers, but it proves to be more annoying than having it off, to test your mic, simply open up the sound recorder and record yourself talking into the mic, play it back and if you heard yourself then the mic works. (make sure your microphone is set to the default device ;))

No, I'm just trying to get my mic to work. The other thread is for jacks, my headset is a USB. I don't want my MIC sound to come out from my speakers, and I have tried recording myself and no sound...

Hey fatality

Could you do us a favor and fill in your system specs (lower left corner) so we know what kind of hardware you have.

Thanks in Advance

Nice system. In your audio cpanel do you have an adjustment for what goes to each jack? Could you use the snipping tool (type snip in search) and take a screenshot of your audio control panel?

Thanks

Ken

Thank You. Actually, seems like I have fixed the problem, on my headset, I didn't push the MIC deep inside, it's working now, but I still have another issue, I could hear myself through my headset and it's annoying, any way to turn it off?

NVM I FOUND OUT HOW TO FIX IT. I WENT IN THE PROPERTIES AND THERE WAS "LISTEN TO THIS DEVICE" CHECKED AND I UNCHECKED IT, WHICH FIXED THE PROBLEM.
