Just installed a Creative X-FI titanium and worked perfectly in Vista 64 bit. I had to use the PCIE x4 slot as the X1 slot would not fit on the motherboard due to the heat sinks. It really did make a huge difference in the sound quality from the on board sound.

Let me know in a couple of days how you are liking it! I need to get a new sound card, and I was looking at that one. What onboard sound did you have tho?? I have the realtek HD audio with builtin fiber for sound!
On my motherboard there is what is called Azalias Codec that is disabled in bios for an 3rd party audio card. Most MB's set the audio as enabled for an auto set up so you will need to set it for disabled when installing a 4rd party audio card. Every audio option is set up by the Titanium card drivers, the new update supersedes the factory march 2008 drivers. The factory default selected the speakers by option but I manually set the default to fiber out, that is SPDIF out. I honestly did not expect to hear a difference from the realtech audio but I really did.
