i'm going crazy with this problem...

Hi,

I have Vista Ultimate 64bit, with Realtek onboard sound on my mother board. However, my Quadraphonic speakers don't seem to be working as I can only get sound to come out of my front two speakers when in WMP etc. when I go into control panel, I can get sound coming out of all 4 speakers, that silly test sound.

I googled this problem and there is a lot of people with it, but there is no solution!!

what are you trying to play in WMP? MP3? DVD? etc...
i'm thinking whatever you are playing doesn't have more than 2 channels of audio

Have you checked Speaker Fill in the Realtek HD Audio Manager, as shown in the image below?

now i instaled windows 7 ultimate and i've got the same problem.. :confused:

yes, i know for speaker fil but the sound is distorted..

and i play divx, mp3.. but it worked perfectly with win xp..

HULE maybe you might want to try switching the jacks around unless you are using optical, i think that the realtek software allows for internal jack switching if i remember rightly

tried everything.. but when i hit test button in realtek manager, it works!! that silly noise bruup is there... :S :S

when i play mkv blue ray movie, i've got sound on rear but just explosion :S when they talk i cant hear it unless i turn on front :S :S
