| Vista Home Basic 32bit | Annoying Windows sounds problem i have a dell inspiron 1545 with vista basic,i recently had a problem so i restored it to the factory image and installed all the drivers. problem is that the windows sounds like the startup sound and the asterisks etc are not loud enough even at the max volume. The music and video etc. are loud and fine.but the general windows sounds are too low in volume even at max volume.and it recognizes it too because when i set the volume to max in the corner to next to the clock, the green bar fills only 20% or so when it beeps. ive tried everything im using IDT High Definition audio CODEC. help please |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Annoying Windows sounds problem Try this; Click on the little speaker icon in your start-up bar. (bottom right next to the clock) Then click on "mixer". You can now adjust the system sounds in relation to other sounds. |

| All versions of windows vista | Re: Annoying Windows sounds problem try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver then check the sound scheme of your computer. check if it is set to default or not, if not, try downloading a new driver again.. possible glitch/error while doing the recovery on your computer. |
