| Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Vista Reducing Volume With No Input I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. Three days ago the computer began reducing the volume to zero on the sound mixer. When I raise the volume the slider returns to zero. Thanks |

| Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Re: Vista Reducing Volume With No Input No they are not checked. Windows Media Player is also acting the same way. I can increase the volume but it slides right back to zero |

| x64 | Re: Vista Reducing Volume With No Input Hi, Mine suddenly gave a loud whistling sound when certain songs are played. It started when I activated Windows Defender. I came to this forum to find out how to deactivate the program which I did. Now my Windows Media Player is playing normally! |
