Lost my sound.

Ok, I had my laptop connected to my TV via HDMI, the sound wasn't playing through the TV speakers though only the laptop. So in trying to remedy this I right clicked on the sound icon in my system tray went to playback devices and inadvertently disabled my laptop speakers, and now they dont even appear as an option anymore. Please help.

open Control Panel. Look for the Sound icon. Click on that. If nothing in there helps.

Go to 'help and support' in your start menu. Click on Table of Contents. Search for 'sound off'. Try the trouble shooter. Or try the other help suggestions, like 'Music and Sounds'. Then click on Computer Sounds. That should tell you how to turn your volume controls back on.

The computer I am on presently doesn't have sound, so I am unable to look through the menus further, but that should help you get started.

Thanks that helped a ton. All I actually needed to do was right click in the devices menu and click Show Disabled Devices.
