ok, so i had a mic installed before and it worked fine, so i know it isnt my soundcard... anyway, i got a new headset and everything worked fine untill vista installed it's own driver for it automaticly, from which point on my mic doesn't work anymore (sounds still work though). i tried everything to even reinstalling vista itself (not the only reason why, but still one of them) but to no success. the headset i am trying to use is ednet's usb headset (it doesn't say much more), runs on cmedia's c108 chipset, or atleast thats what i found out...
