Distorted Sound in Vista
Hello. The sound is my Vista Bus. ed. is horrible. About 2 wks. ago it was working fine. I installed some Vista updates & it has been down hill every since then. I have googled for help, but nothing has helped.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks In Advance
P.S. This is Vista on Apple's BootCamp. The sound on the Mac side works just fine.

Re: Distorted Sound in Vista
Apple's Boot Camp audio drivers are not generic or realtek audio drivers. If I were you I would put your Mac OS X install DVD into the DVD drive and reinstall Boot Camp on Windows to make absolutely sure the correct audio drivers are installed (also after reinstalling check Apple Software Update).
Another general audio tip is if possible to have the device transmitting the audio to the speakers (PC) volume very high and then have the speakers own volume at a level you are happy with to maximise sound definition.

Osholt, thank so very much for responding.
This is what I ended up doing:
Control Panel
Sound
Speakers
Properties
under Default Format
click on 24 bit, 1920000 Hz (Studio Quality)
