OK, Go to control panel, classic view, sound.
If there is a speaker there does it have a green tick.
Try to right click and see if it brings up a menu (it should)
You could try sounds, and test a few in the sounds box
post back results
You should have had the sounds entries in services.msc as in this clip.

OK, Go to the speaker with the green tick,
right click and go to advanced, see if it is set to 24Bit 48000Hz and the exclusive section has both boxes checked.
In the levels menu see that the level is set to the right side (max)

You could run the speccy program and see who makes your chipset, and look at the sound section. Then go to their sites and download the latest chipset and sound drivers.
I will guide you in installing them once you have them.
Post back with results

I would reinstall SP2 as it helps to be as up to date as you can be.

This is the manufacture's site and you should be able to find it here, although I can only see XP versions.

EDIT: Don't mention cracked software on this site or we won't be able to help you. Against the rules, sorry:D

In device manager, system devices, do you have a sound entry there.
If so try to update its driver as well.
