Solved Moviemaker audio files

Hello,
If anyone can give some guidance here it would be much appreciated.
I am trying, in Windows Vista, to make a video/DVD and I want to add a commentary.
Ordinary music (WAV?) files can be added and played but, I cannot find a way to add my own recorded commentary which, I am told, is recorded, by default, as WMA files.
Moviemaker tells me that this file format cannot be played as the "codec" has not been installed. However, Windows Vista tells me that the codec for playing WMA files is installed on my system. Could anyone give me some advice on how I could overcome this problem?
Any advice much appreciated.
Thank you

I have had this problem many times what you need to do is to Convert you comentary file from a .WMA to a .MP3

Hope This Helps,
Josh

Many thanks Josh for your prompt and helpful reply. I had thought that I would have to change the audio file configuration ,ie, WMH to something else but, as an amateur in these matters, it all seems a bit daunting . Did you add those links ? If so, many thanks.
I am still a bit bewildered and bemused that my PC is loaded with two Microsoft programs, ie, Moviemaker and Voice recorder but, strangely, because the recoding program will only record WMH files, that they are not compatible. Is this a bit careless of Microsoft or, is it something everybody knows about?
Thanks

Hello again Josh,
Another thank you. The file conversion link which you kindly posted, worked perfectly and strangely, once I had done one audio file, ie, WMA to WAV, all the other WMA files were accepted, successfully, into the Moviemaker program. For some reason, the conversion went to WAV files instead of MP3 but, as it now all works, with WMA files,I kept it simple.
Thanks again
