So, my harddrive died last week, I took it to geek squad, got the data backed up and had them replace the harddrive.
Brought the computer home, and now there is no way to get sound out of it. Plugging the headphones into any port at all (either back or front) doesn't work. Finally got it to detect the headphones in the front (unclicking the detect front jack thingy in the front for the win). But still no sound, and no ability to use mic. Now, it doesn't react if I disconnect and replug them in. It shows as they are connected whether they are or not, and no sound under any circumstances.
Real tek is the driver, pretty sure i have the latest version.
Also, using a vista x64 rig, desktop.
Any thoughts?
