Swapping audio channels

Hello. It's a pleasure to browse your forums once again ;) I've always liked your support
Now to problem solving. Recently, after my desk's rearrangement, I've found out that my speaker channels are swapped, kind of. Like, the left channel is played by the right speaker, and vice-versa. I've tried browsing the web, the system sound setting, searching and re-installing drivers - nothing worked. However, I can't believe there's no program to perform such a simple task - swap audio channels.
The ones I've found on the web don't work, apparently ;p

Maybe you know a way? Thanks in advance :)

By the way, the reason why I reinstalled the SigmaTel High Definition Audio Driver was that I hoped that it's tray icon would reappear, as it once was there. A long time ago... But no, it didn't.

I don't know what you mean by "desk rearrangement" but if you have a restore point dated just before the problem, I'd try that first.

A less drastic method is to make daily backups of registry hives using ERUNT

Usually settings like that would be in the registry. Restoring with this tool doesn't overwrite other files. Just the registry hives. But that's only helpful for future reference.

I'd try to find a forum specific to that hardware and see if someone knows where the setting is kept. Most of the stuff in Windows registry is not documented. You have to get the tidbit of info from somebody who knows that specific setting.
