So everything was working just fine last night. I turn of the computer, this morning there is no audio at all. No matter where the source, youtube, a dvd, music, nothing. The sound card says its functioning normally. I even get the green indicator moving but no sound. I decided to update my drivers but that didnt do anything. I have no idea what the problem is and frankly its driving me a little batty. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for replaying guys. I did a system restore to no avail. I had read no sound in windows before posting here. The hardware nor microsoft fix-it seem to recognize a problem, and lastly updated drivers didnt do the trick either. Its so weird. Is it possible my speakers just died? Would that show up as a problem in the fix it program? Happened so suddenly and dunno why.

BAD speakers would not show. Try to hook up other speakers for a test. Borrow them if you have to.

Have you confirmed settings in Audio Manager.. type that in the search window under the start button and open it up to check in it for settings not set properly .
