Hello, have you tried repositioning the speaker cables?
no cables, it's a lap top speakers are built in, I've had this puter for five years and this just started happening this year, I've tried up dating wmp, sound card drivers, used vlc player, windows media center, quicktime player, and when I tried these other media players, when the buzzing starts windows media player would show up in my mixer as if its running but it isn't, it didn't show up in the task manager applications tab, not sure about processes, I mute it in the mixer and it shuts it up but it also mutes the music even though I'm using a different media player to play the file??? file formats are mp3, wma lossless, wav, I don't think that really makes a difference, my fire wall is set to not let any program access the net, nor do i let anything update itself without my permition and I mannually update ussually once a day if any are availible, it sounds like an alarm clock buzzer I checked the mic too, it stays muted unless I need it for something, anyway I'm about positive it's windows media player causing it, but like how everything goes it's all just speculation until the fault is found...??? any thing you have I thank you
actually I didn't use quick time player, it wouldn't play all the formats,
You might run msconfig.exe and, in the Services tab, stop Windows Media Player and reboot.
I am able to stop it, but I'm unable to prevent it, I don't know what's causing it, I will try that and going to check on another suspect, I'll report my findings if any
Do you have anybody in your neighborhood who does welding?
wire welding? there are tons out there, does your neighborhood use any local classifieds, such as craigslist, kijiji, etc? if so, a quick search will help you out. unless you want to buy the welder/solderer for yourself. generally about $20 at a automotive store.
Hey Windows8- The reason I asked about the welding is that, if someone in the area does welding, there may be RF interference on his system. There could also be interference from other electrical sources.
Oh my bad, I thought you meant that some of his wires had been cut and needed to get welded back.![]()
