This has taken place whenever I move or change location in room. Of course I minimize moving the computer. The remedy was always by Windows updates or by updating the drivers. The audio always came back!

Anyways, this has taken place again and now the computer indicates "No Sound Card". I was listening to my tunes normally and wanted more amplified so I plugged the the external speaker male end into my guitar amp. I have done this many times with no problems when guitar practicing with computers enhanced tablature. This is a fluke - I never touched this. This is according to the DxDiag Command and its system findings.

The Realtek HD Audio Manager indicates:
1) Front Speakers & Mic is working - has checkmarks on both.
2) Front Speakers & Virtual Sound is also checked.
Device Advanced Settings:
1) Mute rear panel is also checked - when frnt headphones are plugged in.

It is not bad wiring/cabling. I get sound from flat screen and home theatre using same cable/wire. I give up and need advice. Would an external usb sound card be the solution??
