There wasnt a obvous place to put this so I put it here:

I recently bought a set of surrround sound speakers (5.1)

only the speakers which were pluged into the green socket at the back of my computer will work - the other 4 speakers which are plugged into the blue and pink sockets dont work - I have been told this is due to the blue and pink sockets being inputs rather than outputs - I was told this could be changed somewere in control panel - unfortunatly none of the people working at the shop have vista yet so they couldnt tell me were it was.

I have had alook and I couldnt were to change it - could someone help me?

Sounds like you are using windows standard drivers, can you tell us what soundcard you have? (If it is integrated or a PCI\PCI-E) and\or what motherboard you have.

You will have to install drivers from the manufacturer with software to change the settings of the soundcard from 2.0 out to e.g. 5.1
