Vista Pro
Hey people this is my first post so Id like to say hello and thank you in advance as my mate reffered me here and already its been helpful.

I have been using Vista 64bit for sumtime and have finally noticed (i am abit nieve at times) that the sound (onboard) is not working correctly.
Due to afew other things playing up I just reformatted my system.

Now b4 I start installing the wrong drivers or letting windows update install the wrong ones (as it did the first time round) I am trying to find out what drivers to get and where from.

I connect to my Pioneer amp (VSX-D811S) via a single optical cable from the onboard output from the mobo.

So where is the best (and most working) Realtek AC97 Audio driver to support my mobos onboard sound?

Also is there any other drivers i should be installing for my mobo (via 4in1s etc etc)? or do i just trust windows update to handle all that?

Cheers

Cheers Mate

I already got this one but its not 100% eaither :(
It has made the Dolby Digital work within Media Centre (when i watch a dvd) but in windows its self the sounds are not functioning correctly unless i set it to the analog output (even thou its still thorugh the optical cable :S) so i have to change each time i go into media centre to watch a dvd.

I guess the drivers are still new and hopefuilly they get better as time goes by.

One thing I have yet to check is if i still get the sound jitter when watching divx movies from my hdd. Ill report back on my progress :D
