Virus Is Killing Me and My PC!

I am being badly haunted by a Bagle virus that randomly shuts my PC down.
I have installed and run every type of virus scanning/removal tool (Windows included) in the world and although I removed other items, this virus will be dormant for days on end and then just shut down.

I ran Spyware Doctor and this is the infection location:

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-506413866-1318214124-3902625216-1001\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, german.exe

Windows claims it is an email virus but no matter how hard I try, I cannot remove it. I have gone to the location of the virus manually through RegEdit but it doesn't show in the folder it indicates it is located (above).

Kaspersky, Norton, McAfee, you name it will shut them down when installing them. I quit. Any help is always appreciated.

Have you tried the free programs like AVG or Avast?

Trend Micro has an excellent online scanner as well. No need to install anything other than an ActiveX control allowing the website to look at your files. It can even help remove the infection like an installed anti-virus.

As I noted in my post, every time I attempt to download any of these programs, the virus
will deactivate the download, freeze the download, or not allow it to do what it should.

I did remove a few others.....maybe I will try them again, then repost. Thanks gentlemen.

have you tried a system repair?
It will copy user files/programs then completely reinstall windows

Try using an antivirus package to remove it, whether free or paid I don't really care. If it doesn't work try Safe mode. And if it still doesn't work see if you have System Restore and restore your computer to an earlier date. If it still doesn't work just use System Restore and perform major surgery.

Save yourself alot of wasted time and reformat/reinstall windows. Run a good antimalware program ( I recommend Eset NOD32)
Do not disable UAC- believe it or not this can stop alot of malware from running on your system.
Do a backup of your files/folders under your user account, insert the O/S, restart, and follow prompts untill you see your partitions- delete partition and reinstall.

Boot into safe mode and delete the key manually. Try a Trendmicro free scan.

If nothing else works just use your recovery disk and reinstall Vista. And next time get a good antivirus software and firewall. You should also try getting antispyware software, like Spybot or Adaware.
