| Vista 64 SP1 | Rejected by MSCONFIG! I am admin on my Vista64 SP1 PC which is connected to a domain. I have one of the few Vista PCs on the network. Any change I make in the Startup tab in MSCONFIG reverts to its pervious state as soon as I click Apply. As far as I know there are no network login Vista Group Policies in force yet. What do I look for to make MSCONFIG pay attention to me? |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Rejected by MSCONFIG! Hi Donald, and welcome to Vista Forums. You will need to talk to the domain administrator. Everything is controlled by the domain settings instead. They probably have MSCONFIG set as restricted. Shawn |

| Vista Ultimate 64bit | Re: Rejected by MSCONFIG! Yep, Vista will still follow the GPolicy set on the domain controller XP machine. GPolicy is cross platform on NT based machines so it doesn't have to be Vista specific. |

| Vista 64 SP1 | Re: Rejected by MSCONFIG! So, if I unplug the network cable and use a local admin login I should be able to get MSCONFIG to do its thing correctly? |

| Vista 64 SP1 | Re: Rejected by MSCONFIG! OK, unplugged ethernet cable, booted PC in Safe mode and logged on with the Administrator account. Ran MSCONFIG with Admin priv. Still did not save my changes. Ran Regedit and deleted the values under Run that I wanted to stop running. Those changes stuck! |

| Vista 64 SP1 | Re: Rejected by MSCONFIG! I go into the Startup tab and uncheck something which means I don't want it to start the next time Vista starts. When I click on Apply the checkmark is put back. |
