Program cannot run without DEP on...?

I'm having a problem running a program and it was suggested to try to turn DEP off for that program. Well I followed all the directions got there fine but when I wen to add the program it said:

"This program must run with DEP enabled. You cannot turn off DEP for this program."

Should I assume that DEP is not the problem or does Vista x64 just not like me?

If it's an embedded Windows program you can't turn of DEP for those.

What is the program in question and what problems are you having?
How long have you had the problem?
Did you make any changes directly before the problem started?
Can you recite Shakespeare blindfolded?
Is there any error message related to this program in your Event Viewer files
Does your dog/cat/kids/goldfish chew your slippers?

Please answer these as accurately as possible so we can help you better, and no fibs...
