Re: i lost my password..

Do you have a second account you could try? Otherwise, you can do a repair install to reset the administrator password and get in.

Hi Shyer,

I believe your talking about the BIOS password, Unplug your computer and remove the battery from the motherboard for 5 minutes then place the battery back and plug it in again...It should then reset the password

Doing this will reset the bios to its factory settings. You may have to change some of the settings in the bios after.

List your system specs.

If it is the startup password you need try pressing the DEL key. This may allow you to get into the bios without resetting it.

Most bios have 2 passwords, a power on and a security poassword.

Re: i lost my password..

It is a battery like this one (look at your mother board, you will find it easily):

Just take it off about 5 minutes

Re: i lost my password..

Unplug the computer. Wait 5 minutes. Remove battery. Wait 30 seconds. Put it back in. Plug in. Turn on. Go into BIOS and reset everything.

Re: i lost my password..

List your system specs like I posted earlier.
Include your motherboard with this, then we can tell you exacly where it is.
Turn off the power at the back of your PSU but do not unplug it, this way there will be no power to it but it will remain earthed.
There may be a bios reset switch on the back of your motherboard, this is another good reason for sending your specs.
