I am runnind Comodo firewall and it was asking me about allowing a program and I might have allowed it on . It appears to have the windows logo on it but that doesn't mean much. |

| Vista™ Ultimate x64 | Re: Antivirus xp 2008 That infected my dad's PC too, he lost all his own-made school exams (he's a teacher), 6 years of work gone .I could save some exams before the PC started to die because of BSOD's and such, but now I formatted and installed XP again (AMD Athlon 1100+ 256MB RAM TNT 32MB), so not Vista , and now everything is fine again. ![]() But since my dad's PC was already infested with a lot of crap, you should indeed follow Michael's advice. |

| x64 | Re: Antivirus xp 2008 I ran it last night but some of the Antivirus 2008 was still in my system. I think in the recycle bin because when I went to dump it out of the bin it popped back up. I just ran it again and it seamed to get the rest of it. Should the Malwarebytes icon remain on my desk top? Because after I first ran it and then restarted it was gone, now its on my desktop. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 MAK, OpenSolaris 5, Gentoo 2008.1.... | Re: Antivirus xp 2008 The icon can remain on the desktop, or you can move it or even delete it - it does not delete the program. You can always search for the program to run it from the start menu, either by typing 'Malware' in the search bar or by clicking All Programs --> Malwarebytes --> Malwarebytes Antimalware |
