Vista - Need help - keystroke logger???

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help with this!

I was in my registry yesterday trying to completely uninstall a particular program (a question for another time), and noticed the following under HKEY_classes_root:

SKBMonitor.KeystrokeMonitor

and

SKBMonitor.KeystrokeMonitor1

Both have a subdirectory of CLSID, and the first has a CurVer subdirectory, as well.

I've searched all over and can't find anything about this on the internet - can anyone enlighten me? This worries me, obviously, but neither Trend nor a couple of spyware removal programs have detected anything - and I would be surprised, I guess, if any true keylogger would be that blatant about the name of the program.

Help!

I just checked my registry for that and could not find anything in my registry. Something you have installed I guess put that there? Hmmm I too do not like the looks of it.

HMMM i Have SKBMonitor.KeystrokeMonitor and SKBMonitor.KeystrokeMonitor1 but no matter how hard i search i still cant find anything about it

Wow, two years later, and still no answer to this? Seems odd that only one or two hits for this query are indexed in all the googlesphere, don't you think? Especially if it's legit and common.

It is curious. Sounds more like a keystroke monitor you would buy to keep an eye on what is happening on your machine , rather than an external keylogger trying to steal info.

I just searched the registry on my relatively recent install of Windows 7 x64. Couldn't find those entries.

Did you find a CLSID that you could google as opposed to the words ?

It's not two years later. It's 5 and a half months later.

Above reg. entries confirmed on my system too. I'm a little worried now .

It is part of Microsoft Tablet PC Input Panel On-Screen Keyboard

Check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{0A56CD6C-B45A-4A6C-A88C-3F42AC7BCED4}
