hhow to: takeover old admins account & all progs & elements

Hi all! bought used laptop, has vista home premium install. and worked a while in old owner's account-now want to remove his name everywhere, and takeover the programms and everything; I have also opened new admin account for self. I may have damaged some parts of UAC in attempts to get rights to do things....Btway i see nothing about problems of partition and harddrive backups?? I have many problems with older programs, true image & paragon. Can make backup but no restore.

Hello Hardway, and welcome to Vista Forums.

I would say the best option is to do a clean reinstall of Vista and the other programs to start fresh with full control of it. This way you do not have to worry about what the previous owner may of had on the laptop or not.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
