From a quick google it suggests that it's a trojan, what antivirus software do you have installed?

msupdte.exe - Dangerous High Level Trojan
I suggest you to remove msupdte.exe from your computer as soon as possible.
Msupdte.exe is Trojan/Backdoor Access.
Kill the process msupdte.exe and remove msupdte.exe from Windows startup.

Also run a full scan with Avast to be downloaded from here: FREE avast! antivirus 4.x Home Edition, anti-spyware & anti-rootkit for Windows and best of all its Free ;)

Norton has a reputation as being one of the most burdensome antivirus programs (it slows down your PC). Some of the free ones have a better detection rate and are also less of a performance drag.

Seems Norton even missed your msupdte.exe which is a known malware and should be in any decent antivirus program's database by now.

I think the free versions of Avira Antivir or Avast are better for the home user.

Do a thorough scan. And make sure nothing is unchecked in the scanning list. Especially the registry entries.

Right click the blue ball in the notification area with an a in it. Click Start Avast antivirus. Tick all 5 boxes ( if you don't have a floppy - obviously don't need to tick that one ) including Test Archives. Left click the slider and drag it to Thorough - clck start scan. ( Make sure you update it before scanning - rt click it and select iAvs update ).

It's worth checking with a few other free tools afterwards as well,
try a-squared 3.5 Free , download it from

Hope this helps
