Researchers crack WPA encryption

Time to switch to WPA2 Guys

Two researchers have apparently cracked a part of the Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) encryption protocol.
Erik Tews and Martin Beck claim to have broken the Temporal Key Integrity Protocol in under 15 minutes. The breakthrough means that data sent from the router to the PC can be scanned, but not the other way around.

Interesting article.
What happens when many users may have wireless routers that do not support WPA2?

Hi grimreaper,

"What man can invent man can circumvent"

an old adage but so true in IT security, every security system invented seemingly is cracked before too long. I always use wired networking where I can at least they have to get physical access to hack that (so far anyway )

That messed up my ports not staying open. After a firmware update tried going back to the original but said not the right version don't know why cause its a backup of the firmware.
