| Vista Home Premium 32 bit | A question about Windows Defender Hi all. Ever since I've had my new computer since 10/07, I have had a Windows Defender Command Line Utility event problem show up about daily. It states that the problem event is MPTelemetry. Can anyone shed some light on this for me and what do I do about it? thanks in advance! |

| Vista Ultimate X64 SP2 | Re: A question about Windows Defender It is stating that there is a connection/server error (i.e., Telemetry error). evidently Windows Defender is trying to connect to the internet and cannot. Last edited by rive0108; 12-31-2008 at 08:29 AM.. |

| Vista Home Premium 32 bit now with SP2! | Re: A question about Windows Defender Hey Vcat, The same thing happens to me and I noticed that it only shows up if I am offline when Defender wants to look for updates. On my computer Defender is set to run at 2AM and if the computer is on, but my internet connection is off, that message shows up in my Problem Reports and Solutions. I don't think it affects how Defender runs, but it wants updates.. Hope that makes sense.. |
