how to install optional updates

Hi

I have a Toshiba pc and it updates automatically. Recently I looked at it from control panel and there are 5 optional updates not installed so i went and listed all of them but there is no continuation? How do I install the optional updates? I did check the "recommended..." in the update portion regarding how you want Windows to update?

thanks

Re: how to install optional updates

Optional updates do not automatically install.
They are usually language packs/games/etc. and have to be installed manually.
Optional updates are not considered to be critical/security issues.

You should check Windows updates periodically.
To remove optional updates you do not want or need, click it, and select "hide"
