exe32 and wininit??

So I have a brand new laptop i got a few weeks ago, runs fine. I use firefox as my web browser, but today my internet explorer opened up 18 times on it's own and when I went into my task manager it showed my normal tasks, but a lot of them had .exe*32 at the end of it (iexplorer.exe*32, firefox.exe*32, etc. not all of them were like this but a lot of them, I run on a 64 bit operating system) I did a scan with malwarebytes and it came up with nothing, did a scan with spybot and it came up with some things like "BurstMedia, CasaleMedia, etc., i fixed all of them but one of them won't delete and it says "Unexpected error in fixing problems (Cannot create file C:\WINDOWS\wininit.ini. Access is denied)" i did a google search on wininit and it says that it's a thing that uninstalls other things bla bla and it should be in my C:\WINDOWS file but it isn't, i did find it in my System 32 file. I'm very confused, so any advice would helpful and really appreciated!

Re: exe32 and wininit??

Can you do a system restore to before it started happening? Do you have a antivirus program monitoring and have you done a full scan in safe mode? If you don't have one, Avast Home is free and pretty good. You can run a boot time scan with it. Try running SFC/scannow to see if any damaged/lost system files can be fixed and run a full scan with a major antivirus program in safe mode.
