Need to modify permissions on one drive to match that of another

I recently installed Vista Ultimate x64 on a new HDD, and connected an old HDD (that I use to store music, documents, downloads, etc) to the system. The old HDD was previously connected to a Windows XP system and used in the same manner, as a storage drive.

When I attempt to delete folders located on the old drive, I get a dialog box that says 'Destination Folder Access Denied' and it prompts for administrator access through UAC. Once I confrim the operation in UAC the file/folder is deleted.

This behavior is different than the default behavior on my OS drive, where if I delete a folder/file in a non-system area, it just gets deleted, no prompt necessary.

I eventually want to move some of the C:\Users folder locations to the 2nd drive, but I want to be sure to fix this permissions issue first. Is there a way to force the 2nd drive (along with files and subfolders, of course) to have the same permissions as a new folder created at the root of my OS drive?

This is because your account does not have permission on the drive. Its using the inherited admin perms. All you have to do is modify the perms on the drive to give your account full control and no prompt will be necessary.
