KAV 9 is slowing down my internet?

Today I've decided to get KAV 9 and so far, I hate how it's affecting my browsing speed. Pages don't load right and it takes a few refreshes to get all images to load. Sometimes pages don't even want to load. I've run a full system scan and I think it's safe to say my computer is clean. When I exit out kaspersky, I can browse fine. Any options I should tick off and see if it helps?

Specs

Windows Vista Home Premium
3G RAM
Firefox 3.0.8

(It took 137.354s to load the page completely)

Conflict with firewall perhaps?

Firefox tweaks? Those people on Kaspersky forum dont like pipelining, used to be a problem. Can be a problem without KAV actually but usually is a safe tweak. I dont remember settings for their web filter but check out their forum, register and you can search. Wil pay off.

They have this entry in Knowledgebase about slow browsing with kav or kis Troubleshooting the thing about http packets is for sending in reports. Go to forum first, if no solution they will tell you how-to. Just kick self-defense, reboot and see if it helps.
