| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Got nailed with Vundo, leftover rundll error Damn babysitter hit some game sites, and I wound up with Vundo. I have cleaned out the bulk of it, yet I continue to get a rundll error. Something is calling womayovi.dll, which is associated with Vundo. My understanding is that Vundo alters winlogon.exe, and I've tried everything I can think of to clean it out. My last resort is to reload Vista, which I am loathe to do. I know that Vundo has been effectively neutered, the error pop-up is just a PITA. And yes, I've since effectively neutered the babysitter and have enhanced security on the machine.... Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Got nailed with Vundo, leftover rundll error Malwarebytes works good. You need to set up your babysitter with a user account that can't install stuff. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Got nailed with Vundo, leftover rundll error Many thanks for the quick reply, I'll give it a shot. As for the babysitter, I've password protected the PC so she has NO access at all.... |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Got nailed with Vundo, leftover rundll error Tried Malwarebytes, it reported Vundo. I quarantined and deleted. Rebooted and I continue to get the following RunDLL error: Error loading c:\ProgramData\womayovi\womayovi.dll The specified module could not be found That particular directory is gone, I deleted it a month ago. Something keeps calling that dll file, my understanding is that it could be winlogon.exe, or explore.exe Any other suggestions? Thanks! |
