| vista | This may be a simple question Hello all. This question is about thumb/flash drives. My computer local policy prohibits me from using it even though I am an administrator on my local machine. Can anyone tell me which specific policy I have to change to let me use a flash drive? thanks. |

Be sure to look in the same areas in Group Policy to see if you have anything that is set to anything other than Not Configured. If you do, then it may be responsible as well. | Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: This may be a simple question The only other thing I can think of for you to try is to skim through all of the Group Policy (gpedit.msc) settings looking at anything that is not set as Not Configured to see if that is the policy affecting this. |
