Hey,
I wonder would it be possible to make a startup item run as with administrative privileges even if the user who logged on is not an administrator?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Hello,
You can use Task Manager to create a startup task for this. Method Two in OPTION ONE of the tutorial below can help show you how to.
Startup Programs - Enable or Disable
Hope this helps,

Hey Brink, thanks for replying ... is there any other way by using the Run key in the registry?
I'm trying to do this remotely and using the task scheduler is asking me to authenticate and then it just locks up![]()

If you add a elevated startup item through the normal method or through Run in the registry, then the user would get a UAC prompt at startup for that startup item. If it was a standard user, then they will not be able to allow it run unless they had the administrator's password.
A task would be the best method to allow the elevated start item to run on all user accounts at startup. However, I have no idea how to do it remotely though.![]()
