| x64 Home Premium | MalwareBytes finds unrecognized "threat" Last coupla days, since the update to Malwarebyte's 1.39 (for Vista HP x64), it's been finding this "threat" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{y479c6d0-otrw-u5gh-s1ee-e0ac10b4e555} (Generic.Bot.H) Does anyone recognize this? Is it a false positive, or something I should allow it to "repair"? Thanks! Russell |

| Vista Ultimate 64-bit, SP2 | Re: MalwareBytes finds unrecognized "threat" Russell, Get a second opinion. Run SuperAntispyware & see if confirms what Malwarebytes found. SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware! |

| x64 Home Premium | Re: MalwareBytes finds unrecognized "threat" JMH, Thanks for the reply. I've run SuperAntiSpyware and Spybot S&D, neither recognized it as a threat. |

| Vista Ultimate 64-bit, SP2 | Re: MalwareBytes finds unrecognized "threat" Can you submit this "threat" to Malwarebytes as a potential false positive? Are you able to quarantine it until more info [ if any] becomes available? |

| x64 Home Premium | Re: MalwareBytes finds unrecognized "threat" I can, but have yet to do so, I'm hesitant to remove it, even temporarily to quarantine, until I know it's purpose. Which is why I asked the people I know who know the most about vista x64 first! |

| Vista Home Premium SP1 32bit | Re: MalwareBytes finds unrecognized "threat" Zoloft, When any Antimalware software detects something, I find it is always best to ask about it on their Forums first before taking any action. That detection is only a registry trace and probably not harmful by itself and possibly a FP. Malwarebytes Forum |
