Microsoft Security Essentials Is Good

The Microsoft Security Essentials proved itself.

My notebook started to run weird, lately. I was suspicious and start scan the whole system with McAfee, however it stopped on 11% of scan and showed me the error. I started it once more, but it was disabled again.

I have been using the Microsoft Security Essentials on the Windows 7 and because I was thinking about switching to this AV on the Vista at the end of this year, I got rid of the McAfee Total Security and installed the Microsoft, just to give it a try on Vista.

Yes, it found and destroyed the trojan in the System32. Today, it blocked the another one during browsing the web.

I think, it's really worth to try. Cheers...

Hello Martee again,
I have been doing quite a bit of reading on MSE. Your views above are supported. In fact I haven't seen a bad report yet.

Yeah, your are right JMH,
The MSE is doing fine and the most important is very light. Seems to me, I'm gonna remain the MSE biggest fan.

Is the beta still available? I'd like to give it a try if possible.

Thanks

Hello Impulse,

No, it doesn't slow down the computer. You can always try it. Cheers...

I play a rather.. CPU (not graphic) intensive game, AVG, McAfee, Norton, Panda, Nod32, etc. All lagged the hell out of me when I played it. MSE hardly even slows me down. Heck I sometimes forget I even have it!

I'd say give it a try and if you don't like it, theres this nifty thing about most (if not all) programs, you can uninstall it! =D
