Any ideas\suggestions? I'm fairly sure that I read it is a part of Vista & it can't be uninstalled.[Someone will correct me if I am wrong.] You can disable it if you wish by going to Defender Tools > Options > & at the bottom of the page untick "Use Win Defender" & "Allow everyone to use Win Defender" > Save. |

| Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Is Windows Defender Real useful? Maybe. Its better than nothing. I installed Norton 360 and Windows Defender + Windows Firewall were both automatically disabled. Then I removed Defender from starting up. |
