| Vista Ultimate 64-bit, SP2 | IE8 Offers better protection against Malware threats. By Brandon LeBlanc. Today, socially engineered malware threats are on the rise and are heavily impacting the way people use the Internet - making it a consumer and industry issue. A new study released today from NSS Labs shows that Internet Explorer 8 is the #1 browser in malware protection and also the #1 browser in phishing protection. The independent test results showed that Internet Explorer 8 blocks 3 times more malware threats than Firefox 3 and 10 times more malware threats than Google Chrome 2. | Vista Ultimate 32bit / Windows 7 RTM x64 | That is definitely true. It's OK if you don't agree with me... But I believe that the browser protection really doesn't matter much if you're careful. I happen to be quite careful (at least I think I am ), and so I will not make the leap back to IE. I will continue to use Firefox 3.5. |

| Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Fair enough. IE8 is fine with me. Just watch the addons and some scripts tend to make it unresponsive, but not too often. Sloppily written code more like than any browser defect all up I'd say. |

| Vista Ultimate 64-bit, SP2 | Doesn't matter which browser one uses - - - - The best security protection is the person attached to the mouse who knows what not to click on. |
