Is Kaspersky good?

I took my computer to the repair shop to get it fixed and the guy told me that I should not use Norton and he told me that it took up too much system resources and he told me it wasn't good all around, and he told me that i should get Kaspersky because he said it was better. So should I get rid of Norton and get Kaspersky?

P.S. I have Norton 360 currently.

Norton has no impact on my 6GB of RAM and Kaspersky can be unstable. People still think Norton is pre-2006 which it isn't. If you want the best protection G-data has 2 antivirus engines but is "heavier". Overall Norton is the best.

I've been using Norton for over 3 yrs so if I switch it most likely will be bitdefender.

You can get a lot of different opinions from a lot of different people re your question.
Suffice to say if you feel that you want to stay with Norton, stay with it.
You can always change to another AV later on.
[Just remember that if you do change to another AV use the Norton Removal Tool.] ;)

I have both, Norton IS09 and Kaspersky IS09 (on different systems, of course). I like both although I have a slight preference for Norton.
