| Vista Home Premium 32bit and another Vista Home Premium x64 | Encrypt Data on a Vista Home Premium x64 PC Hi All, I am planning to buy an upgrade to Vista Ultimate x64 for my existing PC. My question is: Will I be able to simply get Windows to encrypt the existing HDD retrospectively, after just upgrading or will I have to do a clean install? Thanks Guys! |

| Vista 32 win 7 7600 32 bit | Re: Encrypt Data on a Vista Home Premium x64 PC either way you install the OS, then encrypt the disk. microsoft recommends a clean install as do most of us. Just dont lose the password. And encryption slows down the computer Ken |
