do i have a virus?

from time to time i'll start up windows and notice that my folder settings have changed,icon size etc,what is causing this.

Hello Truebrit,

It doesn't sound like it from your desciption, but you should do a full scan of your computer with a antivirus program (ex: the free Avast Home Edition) to be safe.

I believe that using the download in METHOD TWO of the tutorial below will fix your folder view problem.

After following the good advice of Brink & lemur I suggest you also do a quick scan with SuperAntiSpyware free version.
