I tried to install office 2007 on my vista. I used office 2007 on my XP notebook and it didn't have any problems. However, vista blocks installation. can anyone tell me how to disable the security while I am installing the program.

what was the error code when you tried to install office? If the error was UAC and a message like are you sure you want to do this then there is a way to fix it

the error message was something like: there was a problem and the setup has stopped working. Windows will close the program and notify you if solution is available

can you go into event manager by typing event manager in search. go to the windows logs, then applications.

Loork for errors (red in left hand column) that refer to office install failing. they are there. let us know the event ID and source code of the errors.

Was there any difference in the language of win 7 and office?
