Vista - New to Vista Questions

This is may be ridiculous but I'm new to this Vista-so-called Operating System I wish to know about and how to prevent any crash, broken, or anything wrong regarding the system
This is a few question I wish to know more:

1.How can I change the directory name or folder to my desired name :
C:\...\alias\....
I wanna rename it with my name to replace alias?

2.I have Avast antivirus program the case is my Security Center can not detect any antivirus installed on my computer how to verify that I have antivirus monitored?

3.I got a little matters to discuss I had Revo Uninstaller and I'm very happy to have it but yesterday when I processed evidence remover it may be an hour or so but when I check it again it already 100% and keep increasing to 101...102....106%!! whatta and when I check on my disk it also reducing the memory from 199 Gb free of 225 Gb to 56 Gb!!! I keep do nothing until the disk turns red then I stoped it and it back to normal 199 Gb! it may be no big deal but I just want to know why did that happen?

4.I got Mozilla Firefox 3 and sometimes when I open a new tab it stop for 2or 3 second than continue as usual I got a few add-ons installed is that a cause ? or other cause to make Mozilla and my internet connection via CDMA modem take longer than usual?


attention this is only a little question among many more question Iwould like to discuss here in Vista because I think here is the absolute right place to do it!!
I would be appreciate any help comes from human not BOT!!

Hi jeffrynov and Welcome to the Forums.
Right click on the Folder and Click Rename and type the name whatever you want.

Reinstall Avast.

Please explain it in depth. Screenshots would be appreciated.

Add-ons could be an issue. To check if its an add-on causing this issue, click Start>Run and type firefox -safe-mode and hit enter.

Check All items and click Make changes and restart.

Thanks for the advice but for the answer of number one its not what I ask but thanks anyway, what I want to know is hoe can I change the directory location name such as C:\Users\alias\Pictures\Not for KIDS\picture viewer property to my desired name because the registered name on my computer is not ME!! thanks everyone can help??

For the 1st question, you have to change your username.
Go to Control Panel>User Accounts>Change your username.

I already got my username and user account the problem is the path and the folder name still the same as before how can I change that ?? all my user account have administrator privilage and theres nothings wrong with it
