Vista - Needing help for downloads

I have recently tried to download certain things for my computer, except i have had pop ups that says my security settings are not allowing me to download this.

Somethings i can download for example things that are already on my computer (MSN) but need updated it is things that are downloaded off websites for example skype.

i have been on internet options > security settings and changed my settings so that files can be downloaded, and i have also made the sites trusted sites, if there is anything i am missing can u please help me with it, thankyou

If that's the case, I rememver that IE has like a bar that will appear below the address and other toolbars that says "Internet Explorer has blocked a download....." or something like that. All you have to do is click on that bar and click on download file. Hope this helps.

yes i have done that pop up bar or something that has come up but the same thing happens but thanks anyway.

Hello Hamish,
Do you have any third party software, anti-virus/malware, firewall, or anything like that running ?.
Also, have you tried a reset of IE ?, Tools > Advanced > Reset.
Give it a try and post your results, good luck.

thanks toney-nutz resetting my internet did it thanks, i am only young so i dont know much about computers so that was good thankyou very much

ill add u on xbox live, i only got a hardrive recently and one game so im pretty bad gamerscore wise, but im a freak at the game, fifa 09 maybe vs u sometime, ty once again
