First off, do you do any Media sharing through Windows Media Player? If so, then this has to be on as far as I know. If not, it can be shut off two different ways.

Easiest way: Open Windows Media Player, go to the library tab, then down to "Media Sharing". Open that and uncheck both check boxes, Hit "OK".

Once you hit the OK button, you’ll be prompted with "do you want to turn sharing off for everybody?"

Hit "YES", then "OK". Then restart your computer.

If you still have issues with it, let us know.

no, not screwed.....just don't allow it though, keep canceling it. Have you run your antivirus to see if it can find it? Malwarebytes is also another good thing to have. Just make sure your AV and Malwarebytes are both up to date.

Viruses are a bit out of my league since I watch my pc like a hawk and constantly keep it clean. I haven't had a virus in years, so my experience with something like that is so little.

Just don't allow it until you know for sure what it is. Someone here will be able to help you out, I'm sure. :)

That's the problem the virus is smart that I'm clicking cancle it will keep popping up so idk what I can tell I've ran over more than 7 full sweeps already since this started happeneing it has found 2 viruses. This file is located in the Internet file under programs and I have deleted the file but once I delete it won't pop no more but in couple of minutes it shows backup in the internet file and starts popping up again so this is like a non removable virus called Mal/generic-a just won't go away my only solution is to webroot remove this once and for all or go to geeksquad and have them fix this virus

If you go to geek squad they will reformat your drive and you lose everything.
Best to back up everthing before you go.

I have one thing that might help you said you delete it and it comes back.
Try to delete it in safe mode.
You enter safe mode by hitting f8 before start up.

Hope I was some help to you.
