Last tuesday (the 9th), a friend tossed me a link claiming it was a funny image. Said friend sent me a link to a porn site. I didn't notice anything different however, when I next turned on my laptop, firefox wouldn't always work and half the time would pop up with 'The connection has been reset'. I scanned my computer using: Trend Micro a/v, Spybot search and destroy, and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware with no results.

Logged on today with neither browser working and I was only able to get on via AOL. I posted on the browser's and mail, got told to reset my IE. That caused both browsers to start working. Everything seems fine, except that FF won't post updates on facebook. So, I'm guessing something is still screwy. I'm currently doing another full scan with Malwarebytes and will post if something unusual pops up. Otherwise, suggestions?

You can always do a system restore to a date prior to Tuesday the 9th if that's when your problem surfaced. Beware of friends like the one who sent you that troublesome link.
