I'm just wondering. Im using Avast! Home Edition for free, but my friend says that a paid antivirus/intenet security is better, he thinks that a paid is "Full" protection, eventhough i told him that avast! was aleady internet security and also an antimalware, and behavior scanner. I disagree with him but he keeps nagging, so im asking you guys what you think.

Both suites are okay. Avast! and Kaspersky have both high detection rates but it all comes down to the system resource usage. I have seen many posts that Avast! had a lighter load on a user's system. Kaspersky on the other hand seems to be heavier than Avast! It all comes down to your own decision though...

But in Avast!, it is somewhat a suite. It already has an Anti-virus, Anti-spyware, and Anti-rootkit.
