The whole administration thing. Obviously if I am the only account on the computer, I'm going to be the administrator. I was downloading a program earlier, and when I went to install it, I was given the error "You must be logged in as an administrator when installing this program" Any solutions?

Click on the start menu, then click 'Run'. In the box type cmd.exe. You should now be running command prompt. Type the following in command prompt:
net user YOURUSERNAME
^Replace YOURUSERNAME with your username (e.g. mine would be: net user Tom)
And then hit return (enter).
You should now see lots of details about your account, scroll to the bottom of this list and you should see 'Local Group Memberships'. What does the text next to it say? (e.g. mine says Administrators)

My account can't be found. cmd even tells me that my user name is Regan, but when i type net user Regan, my account is unable to be found
