Can't use system restore or activate Windows Defender. Need Help Pls.

I seem to have a virus on my HP laptop:

Windows Defender has been involuntrily turned off and I am unable to turn it back on, although firewall is on.

In normal mode my computer keeps shutting down because of data execution prevention

There is an unknown user account I did not create that is password protected. It is only a standard account, but I am unable to delete or change any of it's settings and it only appears in the parental controls menu. There is a message saying I need the domain administrator, but only I use this laptop.

I cannot execute system restore. The message says system restore has been turned off by group settings and I need the domain administrator to change it..?

I sense that the unknown account has manipulated my settings to allow malware into my computer. If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate. Thanks.

Hello,

It does sound like you might have a Malware problem. Please follow ALL of these steps, and if you have any trouble running them, try them in Safe Mode. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask, asking is far, far better than a mistake. If one of these does not work, move on to the next and explain what went wrong.

HiJackThis

Please download and run HiJackThis. If necessary, use Safe Mode with Networking or a memory stick to transfer the file from another computer. HijackThis - Trend Micro USA

Run the program as an Administrator (right click on it and select Run as Administrator - even if you are an administrator. Do this for all programs I tell you to run. Go past any UAC prompts where necessary.)

Run a scan generating a log file. Do not click on the windows while it is scanning as this may crash it and slow it down. The scan will take about 10-30 seconds. A log file will pop up on the screen. Attach to your next post, or copy and paste it (the ENTIRE log) into a Quote Box (ideally) in your next reply.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Please download and run the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Run a definition update. Then run a full scan (2 - 10 hours) and remove any infections found. Copy and paste into your next reply the log file generated. http://www.malwarebytes.org/

If you are ever prompted to restart, do so immediately.

Screen317's Computer Check

This is not a disaster if it fails, but it will help a little. Please download and run it from here: http://screen317.spywareinfoforum.org/

Run the program as an Administrator. Let it scan (1-15 minutes) and copy and paste in the log file that is generated into your next post.

Good luck!

Richard
