I REBOOT THE COMPUTER AFTER STEP 8 OF THE FOLLOWING STEPS, AND I CANNOT LOGIN TO MY ADMIN ACCOUNT (I ONLY GOT ONE ACCOUNT) AND I AM PRETTY SURE WHAT MY PASSWORD IS, BUT I JUST CAN'T LOGIN TO IT, HELP..... I CREATED ONE PROBLEM AFTER ANOTHER...

THEN I FOUND A SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM OF MY NOTEBOOK, ON THE WEB AS FOLLOWS AND I FOLLOWED IT,
Step 1: Go to safe mode and run CMD (Command Prompt);
step 2: type exactly "Net user administrator/active:yes";
step 3: type exactly "Net stop Profsvc";
step 4: alt+control+Del => newtask => type "explorer";
step 5: go to start and the Run and type "msconfig" then go to tools tab and launch the Disable UAC (User Account Control);
step 6: then launch Registry Editor (Or go to run and type regedit);
step 7: go to this direction "HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Mictosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\system. ";
step 8: Find "Enable LUA" and locate the value of "0";
step 9: Your security tap of C drive will be available;
Note : do not forget to back up your registry or change back the value.

Hello,

First, we will try to change it back, and if that does not work, we may be forced to crack the password, though as a last resort.

Follow Method 1 (From a Download) here (unless you have a Vista DVD, then skip this step): http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/141820-create-recovery-disc.html

Boot to the Command Prompt, see here: How to use the Command Prompt in the Vista Windows Recovery Environment

Now type C:\Windows\regedit.exe and press enter. Alternative command: cd C:\Windows then regedit.exe

File > Load Hive > C:\Windows\System32\config\SOFTWARE

Change back registry key change

File > Unload Hive

Reboot, and test.

Thanks very much for replying me, I can open, I can only c:\windows\system32\regedit, is this ok? c:\windows\regedit not work, no reaction after I typed.

Anyway, I did the rest, up to File > Load Hive > C:\Windows\System32\config\SOFTWARE

It pops up a window key name, I typed ENABLE LUA, then OK
I put the cursor on software, then Unload hive, it says, cannot unload software, access denied.

What to do next? help...

My Computer

somehow, i tried again, and and now able to change enable lua to 1.

I remembered, (sorry I didn't mention earlier) on the instruction list i posted earlier, instead of
type "Net user administrator/active:yes";
I typed "Net user user 1abc/active:yes" note: 1abc is my password, and the admin login name is user. In this case, have i changed my password. Please advise...
